He was born October 11, 1927, in Morehead, a son of the late John A. and Eva Sexton Allen. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, and his wife, Martha Teater Allen. Bobby is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Barbara Allen (Jay) Cornett and H. Lee Allen of Morehead; extended family; and many dear friends. Always promoting scholarship with charitable contributions, he especially appreciated the MSU Foundation and the Breckinridge School Society. In addition to serving on various boards, he was a former member of Morehead City Council and a former owner of Cave Run Marina. Bobby was a member of the First Christian Church of Morehead and in later years attended church in Lexington.
