Robert Ray "Bob" Horning, age 92, of Doodle Lane, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at his residence.

He was born April 3, 1931, in Grayling, Michigan, the son of the late Oscar and Ethel Horning.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Jean Wagoner Horning on September 8, 2017.

He is survived by nine children, Joe Whitt of Morehead, Lawrence "Bub" and Kathy Whitt of Morehead, Janie and Randy Rice of Morehead, Dean and Candy Whitt of Sandy Hook, Brenda and John Shepherd of Rush, Joyce and Norman Kenyan, Gloria Horning, Christine Horning, and Oscar Horning, all of Michigan; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and other extended family.

Mr. Horning retired from Bear Archery in Michigan and Fannin Industries in Morehead. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed spending time with family, going to yard sales, and tinkering with clocks and small appliances. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A public graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2023, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Michael Anderson officiating.

Pallbearers:  Dakota Rice, Randy Rice, Jimmie Aregood, Tyler Aregood, Joshua Burks, and Daniel Burks.

At Bob's request, a private visitation will be held.
