Robert Gene Adams, Jr., 47, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015, at his residence. Born May 6, 1968, in Morehead, he is the son of Robert Gene Adams, Sr., and Nancy Howard Thornsberry, both of Morehead. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his wife of 23 years, Melissa Boyd Adams; one son, Stephan Christopher Adams of Morehead; one daughter, Robyn Madison Adams of Morehead; one stepbrother, Douglas Thornsberry of Frankfort; two aunts, Connie Hamm and Ilene Powell; and one uncle, Jimmy Lee Adams. He was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Adams, in 1986. A graduate of Rowan County High School, Robbie was a former telecommunications worker and A & A Amusement Company employee. He enjoyed fishing and gaming and watching TV. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Anthony Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Howard Cemetery on Skaggs Road in Morehead. Pallbearers: Douglas Thornsberry, Porter Jones, Ralph Caudill, Jeff Howard, Jeff Adams, Johnny Adams, Nathan Dillon, and Shane Dyer.
