Ricky Dale Johnson, age 74, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington.

Born February 6, 1947, in Hillsboro, he is the son of Juanita Ruth Curtis Kiser of Morehead and the late Willie Clayton Johnson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Johnson.

Besides his mother, Ricky is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vickie Skraback Johnson, whom he married November 13, 1967; one daughter, Tami Johnson Crouch and husband James D. Crouch, Jr. of Owingsville; and one granddaughter, Kaylee Crouch.

Other survivors include three brothers, Roger Johnson of Michigan, Bruce Johnson of Ohio, and Ashley Kiser of Elizabethtown; three sisters, Sue Baker of Indiana, Sharon Finley of North Carolina, and Libby Adkins of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.

Ricky served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was a self-employed construction worker. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed watching basketball and football.

At his request, there will be no visitation and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
