Ricky Lee Cornett, age 51, of U.S. 60 West, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at the Life Care Center of Morehead. Born April 9, 1957, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he is the son of Charles Cornett and Ruby Roberts Cornett of Morehead, Kentucky. In addition to his parents, survivors include his son, Richard C. Cornett of Morehead, Kentucky; his brother, Charles Cornett, Jr. and wife Carol of Louisville, Kentucky; his sisters, Anita Wells and husband William -B- of Hillsboro, Kentucky, and Tina Moore and husband Dwayne of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; his granddaughter, Anna Leigh Cornett; and one niece and seven nephews. Ricky was an employee of J.C. Wells and Sons, Inc. for 20 years, Western Sizzlin for four years and Cutters Roadhouse for three years. He was a very loving and devoted father, son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time with family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gary McQuain officiating. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery on Kegley Ridge. Pallbearers will be Travis Wells, Richard C. Cornett, Timmy Cornett, Dustin Wells, Ryan Brown, Virgil Cornett, and Danny Cornett.
