Richard Scott "Richie" Young, age 35, of Ashland, formerly of Taylorsville, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at Community Hospice in Ashland.

Born October 8, 1989, in Shelbyville, he is the son of Bonita Smitha Young of Taylorsville and the late Ricky Young.

In addition to his mother, Richie is survived by one sister, Jessica Norton and husband Jeremy of Taylorsville; three nieces, Bailey, Maddy, and Kailynn; a great niece and nephew, Kamari and Meyson; a special caregiver, Katie McCoy; and other extended family and friends.

Richie enjoyed being outdoors, taking car rides, eating ice cream, and loved being around water, especially swimming. He touched so many people and had a special way of stealing your heart. Richie will be remembered with love and sadly missed.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
