Richard Grauman -Dick- Eversole, age 76, of Fouss Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, university professor, auctioneer, realtor, jewelry and antiques dealer, passed away Monday, June 22, 2009, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born April 11, 1933, in Jackson, Kentucky, he was the only child of the late Wilton Grauman Eversole and Beatrice Arnold Cundiff Eversole. He is survived by one son, Gregory D. Eversole of Morehead, Kentucky; four daughters, Dr. Bridgette Eversole Coulter of Danville, Kentucky, Emily Jean Eversole, Morgan Marie Eversole, and Brooklyn Irene Eversole, all of Morehead, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Deanna Jenna Eversole, Elizabeth Nicole Eversole, John Austin Coulter, William Carson Coulter, and Phoenix Parker Tucker; and two great-grandchildren, MaKenzie Rayne Bills and Dillon James Bills. One grandchild, Dakota Miles Eversole, preceded him in death. Dick served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He attended the Hospital Corps School in Bainbridge, Maryland, and completed the Occupational Therapy Technician Program in Bethesda, Maryland. He graduated with a bachelor-s degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a master-s from Morehead State University. He was assistant professor of biology at Morehead State University from 1964 until his retirement in 1988. Dick, who delighted in referring to himself as -a horse trader, also enjoyed the great outdoors, especially camping, fishing and boating. Throughout his life, his greatest treasures always were his children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery with full military rites conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be Greg Eversole, Darrell Cundiff, Terry Cundiff, Pat Duvall, Jim Byrd, David Daniels, and Tom Pecco. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, 161 St. Matthews Avenue, Suite 3, Louisville, KY 40207. Visitation: Wednesday, June 24, 2009, after 4 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 2 p.m. Interment: Brown Cemetery
