Richard "Rick" Allen Carpenter, age 66, of Morehead, KY passed away peacefully at UK Medical Center Thursday, October 13, 2022, after a brief illness surrounded by his family.

Born December 4, 1955, in Grayson, KY, he was the son of the late Richard Lloyd Carpenter and Nita "Cody" Cotine Hamm Tomey.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathy McDaniel and Rebecca Carpenter.

Richard is survived by his two children, daughter Kimberly Carpenter of Morehead, KY, and son Richard "Ricky" Carpenter, Jr. and wife Carlie also of Morehead, KY, and four grandchildren, Karmen Meenach of Olive Hill, KY, Remington and Cash Withrow of Morehead, KY, and James Allen "Jac" Carpenter of Morehead, KY.

Other survivors include one brother, Nicholas Carpenter of St. Petersburg, FL; two sisters, Debbie Bass of Palm Bay, FL and Diane Mathe of Erwin, TN; and a very, very special significant other, Darlene DeBeaulieu of Ohio.

Rick was a retired truck driver who loved watching sports, listening to music and being with family.

No funeral services will be held at this time.
