Obituary

Rena Belle Stevens Clark, age 74, of Old Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born February 19, 1939, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Albert and Nellie Pelfrey Stevens. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Don Stevens; one daughter, Cindy Newman; one son-in-law, Larry Caudill; and one niece, Kathy Kees. Her husband, Franklin Delano Clark, passed away November 7, 2003. Rena Belle is survived by two sons, Frank (Diana) Clark and Jerry (Terri) Clark, all of Morehead; two daughters, Tamma Gilley of Owingsville and Charlotte Caudill of Morehead; seven grandchildren, Tara Mains, Josh Caudill, Frankie Clark, Trevor Clark, Jesse Clark, Tyler Sexton, and Katy Newman; and five great grandchildren, Anderson Mains, Quenton Caudill, Kennedy Clark, Joslyn Clark, and Easton Clark. Other survivors include one brother, David (Regina) Stevens of Morehead, three sisters, Thelma Skaggs, Shirley Wells, and Marce Gosper, all of Morehead; nieces and nephews; extended family; and special friend, Shelby Russell. Rena was a co-owner of Stevens Grocery and a former employee of Allen's IGA and Judy's. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and watching U.K. basketball and the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. She greatly enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Friday, October 25, 2013, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
