Regena Carter Stone, age 88, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Sterling Meadows in Mt. Sterling.

She was born September 23, 1936, in Elliott County, and was the daughter of the late Ora Lee Carter and Madge Mays Carter.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bernard Lee Stone on February 24, 2021, and one sister, Shelby Litton.

Regena is survived by two daughters, Angela Lea White and husband Anthony of Morehead and Sheila Robin Harman and husband David of Olive Hill; two grandchildren, Evan White and wife Aleisha and Rachel White; one great granddaughter, Stella Layne White; one step granddaughter, Kristin Harman Vasey; and one step great granddaughter, Alina Grace Vasey.

Regena retired after 20 years as a secretary for Morehead State University and was a longtime secretary for Lee Clay Products. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, working puzzles, listening to music, and bird watching. Most of all she loved her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Stone officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Evan White, Anthony White, David Harman, Josh Parker, and Derek Lewis.
