Rebecca Jane Runyon Freeman, age 36, of Mt. Vernon Drive, Georgetown, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012, at the Georgetown Community Hospital in Georgetown. Rebecca was born June 3, 1976, in Pike County, Kentucky, and is the daughter of the Rev. John and Phyllis Castle Runyon of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, Caden Freeman of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; one sister, Lynda Long of Sharpsburg, Kentucky; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Germany Runyon of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; her fianc-, David Bell of Georgetown, Kentucky; a special niece and nephew, Brittney Kitchen and Jacob Long, both of Sharpsburg, Kentucky; a great niece, Kennedy Gillum; and other family members and friends. Becky was a graduate of Morehead State University, attended the University of Kentucky, and was a former employee of Furniture World in Mt. Sterling. She had a love for dogs, enjoyed the outdoors, swimming, and entertaining family and friends. Becky was a member of the Spring Street Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Spring Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Waugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery, Jeffersonville, Kentucky. Pallbearers: Gary Long, Danny Gillum, Brent Long, David Bell, Barry Becraft, and Bruce Young. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012, at the Spring Street Baptist Church, 442 Spring Street, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Spring Street Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.
