Rebecca Davis Keith, age 96, of N. Blair Avenue, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at her home. She was born January 29, 1919, in Jackson, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Elisha and Rosella Carpenter Davis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Rebecca's husband of 71 years, Warnie Ledford Keith, whom she wed February 14, 1935, passed away May 22, 2006. Mrs. Keith is survived by two sons, Arlie Keith and wife Pranom of Jefferson, North Carolina, Vernon Keith and wife Lela of Mt. Sterling; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother, Leonard Davis of New Castle, Indiana; four sisters, Jeanette Wells of Denniston; Lucille Roberson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Geneva Maze of Salt Lick, and Evelyn Fultz of Frenchburg; extended family; and friends. Mrs. Keith was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. In addition, she and her husband owned and operated Keith's Restaurant on West Main in Morehead for 18 years. Rebecca also enjoyed sewing, cooking, making quilts, and working in her flowers. Rebecca was a longtime volunteer at St. Claire Auxiliary and she and Warnie enjoyed all of the senior citizens activities. Rebecca was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Brad Bennington officiating. Burial will follow at the Welch-Morrison Cemetery in Menifee County. Pallbearers: B. G. Poe, Willie Hankinson, Robin Wells, Daniel Wells, James Fultz, Bill Riley, and Clay Hall Visitation is 11 a.m. Thursday until the service hour at 2 p.m. Thursday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
