Reatha Mae Stevens Watson, age 92, of Vandalia, Ohio, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 26, 2007, at the Brookhaven Nursing Home in Brookville, Ohio. She was born October 16, 1915, in Greenup County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Wilson Stevens. Her husband, Ishmael Watson, preceded her in death on October 30, 1967. She is survived by four sons, Gary I. (Gretchen) Watson of Moreno Valley, California, Larry D. (Becky) Watson of Lewisburg, Ohio, Rodger A. Watson and Rondal D. (Cheryl) Watson, both of Vandalia, Ohio; one daughter, Hazel J. Roderer of Troy, Ohio; two sisters, Frances Kendall of Morehead, Kentucky, and Goldia Martt of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Watson had been a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paul Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery. Visitation is from noon Tuesday, October 30, 2007, until funeral time at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
