Ralph D. Witherspoon, age 64, of Heritage Place, Morehead, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead. Born September 14, 1954, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ralph E. and Hattie Collett Witherspoon. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Sean Brown, and two brothers, Thomas and James Witherspoon. Ralph is survived by one daughter, Shaniah Witherspoon of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Victoria Witherspoon of Morehead and Beverly Hooper of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers, Willard Witherspoon of California, Ubet Witherspoon of North Carolina, and Rufus Witherspoon of Florida; one granddaughter, Ka'Seana Brown; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was a former security guard and was a member of Bread of Life Ministries in Morehead. Ralph enjoyed working in his flowers and playing checkers. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
