Phyllis Jean Robinson Beamon, age 62, of Gardner Drive, West Liberty, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead. A daughter of the late Norma Jean Toomey, Phyllis was born June 12, 1956, in Robertson County. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother, William Thomas Robinson. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Douglas Ronald Beamon, whom she married June 1, 1974; two sons, Anthony Beamon of West Liberty and Chris (Robin) Beamon of New Port Richey, Florida; two daughters, Daphne (Chris) Parker of Morehead and Brandy (James) Rogers of Pikeville; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother, Gary Mastin of Punta Gorda, Florida; two sisters, Patricia (Wong) Dong of Lexington and Linda Smith of Killeen, Texas, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A former employee of KDMK in Mt. Sterling, Phyllis enjoyed reading, working puzzles and watching television. She will be sadly missed by all. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
