Phyllis Ann Plank Rodgers, age 78, of Fairmount, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016, at her residence. Born October 23, 1938, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Allie and Eliza Loveless Plank. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Georgia Alene Carter, Arvetta Dean, and Vada Estep; six brothers, Harold, Marvin, Vernon, Wendell, Darrell, and Ralph Plank; two infant siblings; and her husband, John Rodgers. Phyllis is survived by one daughter, Debbie Lyles of Fairmount, Indiana; one granddaughter, Jessica Venema (Jason) of Texarkana, Arkansas; and three great grandchildren, Gabby, Jaxon, and Millie Venema. She also is survived by three sisters, Joyce Riddle (Bob) of Fairmount, Indiana, Shirley Davis of New Castle, Indiana, and Ona Bennett (Cliff) of Marion, Indiana; one brother, Curtis Plank (Judy) of Lenoir City, Tennessee; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Phyllis was a former employee of A O Smith in Mt. Sterling and the U.S. Forest Service at Cave Run Lake. She was of the Pentecostal faith, enjoyed visiting with family and friends, and loved watching the U.K. Wildcats. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams-Plank Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brian Nelson, Gene Nelson, Dakota Nelson, Jordan Nelson, Jerry Estep, and William Estep. Visitation is 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
