Obituary

Phyllis Ann Conn Scaggs, age 52, of White Road, Soldier, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born January 22, 1960, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of Russell Conn and Loretta Marshall Conn Lowe. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary Brewster; her second husband, Danny Dale Scaggs; and a sister, Geraldine Porter. Phyllis is survived by two sons, Dustin Brewster and wife Justina of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Jason Brewster of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter, Edessa Brewster Davis and husband Jason of Olive Hill, Kentucky; stepfather, William Lowe of Olive Hill, Kentucky, special friend, Leonard Sloan of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and three grandchildren, Kashaylia Muse, Riley Brewster, and Ryan Brewster. Other survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Frances Conn and Calvin and Jessie Conn, all of Morehead, Kentucky, and Paul and Mary Conn of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline and Wade Maddix and Eugenia and Zane Dailey, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and nieces, nephews, other relatives , and friends. Phyllis was a caregiver and enjoyed her special pets, Sugar and Dinny. She was a member of the Soldier Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Austin Carter and Brother Gayle Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Conn Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers: Jason Davis, Bryan Conn, Chris Dean, Cody Henderson, Billy Dailey, and Zane Dailey. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Saturday, December 1, 2012, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, December 2, 2012, at 2 p.m. Interment: Conn Cemetery, Carter County, Kentucky
