Phillip Gene Jent, age 51, of Cold Springs Hollow, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born July 30, 1964, in Rowan County, a son of Bessie Jewell Stafford Jent of Morehead and the late William Ervin Jent, who passed away February 6, 2013. Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Clifford Ray Jent, on February 17, 2014. In addition to his mother, Phillip is survived by two sons, Jeremy Jent and Dalton Jent, both of Morehead; two brothers, Jackie Dewayne Jent and wife Janie and Robert Lee Jent and wife Pam, all of Morehead; four sisters, Linda Reed and husband Bill of Clearfield, Kay Lewis Rosser and husband Mike of Flemingsburg, Brenda Stanley of Morehead, and Cathy Pennington of Sandy Hook; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives; and friends. Phillip was the owner and operator of Jent's Garage and enjoyed dirt track and drag racing. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Willie Sturgill officiating. Burial will follow in the Jent Cemetery on Cold Springs Hollow Road. Pallbearers will be Travis Barker, Dewey Reed, Bill Reed, Todd Lands, Shane Johnson, and Clyde Royse.
