Peachie DeWitt Gregory, age 87, of Stoutsville, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born February 10, 1924, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Everett G. and Nervie Eldridge DeWitt. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Grace DeWitt, Myrl DeWitt, and Virginia Hazel DeWitt Staggs. She is survived by three daughters, Mary E. Clark of Mount Sterling, Kentucky, Myrna J. Reisinger of Washington C. H., Ohio, Naomi Agans of Schenectady, New York; one son, Kenneth A. Gregory of Sebastian, Florida; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include four sisters, Inez Caudill of Morehead, Kentucky, Edith Hall and Betty Middleton of Mansfield, Ohio, and Geraldine (Garland) Roe of Winchester, Kentucky; brother-in-law, Noel Staggs of Berea, Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. Mrs. Gregory was a homemaker and private duty nurse. She loved being around her family and was a lifelong avid gardener and quilter. She attended the United Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elders of the United Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldridge Cemetery on Bull Fork Road. Pallbearers will be Grandsons Thomas Clark and Curtis Clark of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Tracy Reisinger of Washington C.H., Ohio, Rob Agans of Schenectady, New York; Great-grandsons Donald Clark and Brandon Clark of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Jeffrey Litteral and Drake Litteral of Washington C.H., Ohio. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Monday, January 2, 2012, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. Interment: Eldridge Cemetery
