Paul Henry Walters

Paul Henry Walters, age 67, of Wellington, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026, at his residence.

Born February 17, 1959, in Estill County, he was a son of the late McClellan Walters and Dorothy Bonnie Estes Fugate Walters. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clell Walters; a son, Michael Paul Walters; and a daughter, Lelsie Anne Walters.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sunshine Sessions Walters, whom he married June 15, 2003; two sons, Keven Lee Walters and Asa Ivon Christian, both of Wellington; three daughters, Ashley Walters of North Vernon, Indiana, and Savannahmae Christian and Navaeh Walters, both of Wellington; a step-daughter, Brenda Lee Gilbert of Frenchburg; seven grandchildren, Peyton Gwaltney, Paige Gwaltney, Julie Walters, Jonah Walters (Adara), Shelby Walters, Brooklynn Walters, and Maddilyn Mae Walters; and six great grandchildren, Waylon Susdorf, Delilah Perry, Adilaya Walters, Amelia Walters, Kinslee Walters, and Wyatt Walters.

Also surviving are three brothers, Glen Walters of Wellington, Tim Reed of Powell County, and Jimmie Walters of Williston, Florida; two sisters, Norma Moore of Alabama, and Betty Joyce Haden of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He proudly served in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army. Paul retired in 1995 as a union worker after more than 30 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing and doing mechanic work on cars. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

At Paul’s request, there will be no visitation or services held.
