Paul Kirtland Perry II, 92, of Ditney Ridge Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born August 12, 1921, in New London, Connecticut, Paul was a son of the late Paul Kirtland Perry and Doris Roe Perry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Perry. Survivors include one daughter, Georgi Ramey and husband Eric of Morehead; two sons, Paul Kirtland Perry III and wife Mary Ellen of Corinth, Vermont, and Ronald Stephen Perry and wife Evelyn of East Haddam, Connecticut; one sister, Ann Devine of Torrington, Connecticut; six grandchildren, Kristen Nelson, Paul K. Perry IV, Johnny Perry, Richard Perry, Michael Perry, and Ronald Perry II; ten great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Mr. Perry was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired self-employed carpenter. In 1990 at the age of 70, he moved from Maine to Morehead with his wife Modell Perry and daughter Georgi. He built a conventional home in the hills of Kentucky and until age 85 worked in carpentry. He also enjoyed playing tennis, spending time with family, making new friends, and caring for his pets.
