Paul Steven Pennington, age 65, of Ashland, formerly of Sharkey, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2022, at the Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Grayson.

Born June 6, 1957, in Paris, Kentucky, Paul was the son of the late Ishmel Roscoe Pennington and Florine Riggs Pennington.

Paul is survived by one uncle, Willie L. Pennington (Garnetta) of Sharkey; three cousins, Darrell Martin (Rhonda), Lee Pennington (Jenny), all of Sharkey, and William Bev McClain (Dr. Cheryl McClain) of Versailles; and other extended family and friends.

He was a farm worker and an avid reader. Paul was of the Christian faith. He will be remembered with love and greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jack Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Lee Pennington, William Bev McClain, David Martin, Stephen Martin, Clinton Curtis, and Rodney Hicks.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
