Paul
Lewis
Aug 3, 1942 — Jul 17, 2022
Paul Lewis, age 79, of KY Hwy 173, Morehead, went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 17, 2022, at his home.
Born August 3, 1942, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Arthur and Madge Moore Lewis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Herman Lewis, Jerry Dale Lewis, Douglas Wayne Lewis, and James Chalmer "Chat" Lewis, and three sisters, Darlene DeWitt, Terri Lynn Lewis and Mae Moore.
Paul is survived by his wife, Glenna McClain Lewis; three children, Mara Stamper and husband Jerry Michael of Morehead, Michael Lewis of Hillsboro, and Tonya Lewis of Frankfort; two grandsons, Conner Stamper and Landon Stamper; one brother, Dennis Lewis of Clearfield; four sisters, Barb Kegley of Morehead, Shirley Shay of Clearfield, Judy Cassara and Chuck of Morehead, and Sheila Lewis of Clearfield; many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Pam Warren of Morehead; special friend and caregiver, Fhonda Hitch and all the St. Claire Hospice workers.
Paul was a lifelong farmer and former employee of Spring Grove Dairy, truck driver for Point Express, and mechanic for Thompson Tractor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting, playing cards, and spending time with his family. Anyone who knew Paul knew he loved his grandsons beyond measure. On July 3, 2022, he decided he wanted to get saved. Paul was in such a hurry to pray he said when Pam arrived, "Sis, I didn't think you were ever going to get here—I didn't think you were coming." He immediately set out to make sure his "baby" was saved too. Mara, his daughter, lay beside him and accepted the Lord as her Savior as well. It was definitely God's Day. Paul will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Ditney Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jerry Michael Stamper, Conner Stamper, Landon Stamper, John Moore, Casey Whitt, and Chuck Cassara.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
