Obituary

Paul Hamilton, age 52, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington. Born May 20, 1960, in Morehead, Kentucky, he is the son of Helen Roberts Hamilton of Hillsboro, Kentucky, and Willis Hamilton, who passed away October 14, 2003. In addition to his mother, Paul is survived by two daughters, Melanie Hamilton of Lexington, Kentucky, and Mellisa Roberts of Richmond, Virginia; his former wife, Ruby Hamilton of Lexington; and four grandchildren, Ethan, Dillon, Serena, and Mason. Other survivors include two brothers, Leroy Hamilton and Toni of Hillsboro, Kentucky, and Roger Hamilton of Morehead, Kentucky; three sisters, Rebecca Lynn Proudfoot and Willa Carol Adkins, both of Richmond, Kentucky, and Joy Yonts and husband Mark of Lexington, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; extended family members; and friends. Paul served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a construction worker. He enjoyed traveling, had a great sense of humor, and lived life to the fullest. He will be missed by his family and many dear friends. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Richard Engle and Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Filson Cemetery in Fleming County with full military honors by W.N. Fant American Legion Post No. 5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834. Pallbearers will be Gary Anderson, James Hill, Robert Proudfoot, Mark Yonts, Austin Adkins, Matthew Yonts, Hunter Hamilton, Butch Getaway, James Hill, Thad Miller, Brandon Roberts, Roy Roberts, and Calvin Hill. Visitation is from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Tuesday, March 19, 2013, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 3 p.m. Interment: Filson Cemetery, Fleming County
