Paul Edward Henderson, 65, of Old State Road, Owingsville, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, at his home. Born May 20, 1951, at Means in Menifee County, he was a son of the late Frank and Leona Parks Henderson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, James Edward and Jacob Eugene Henderson; six brothers, Richard, William, Frank, Ollie and Leslie Henderson and Randall Wilder; and five sisters, Lucille Polson, Evelyn Notestine, Debbie, Wanda, and Gloria Jean Henderson. Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ethel Davis Henderson; two sons, Jonathan (Tara) Henderson and Tad (Crystal) Henderson, all of Owingsville; two daughters, Rebecca (Jerry) Conn of Sharpsburg and Amanda (Corey) Cox of Hillsboro; 16 grandchildren, Chris, Jordan, Gabe, Jarrod, Jade, Aaron, Colby, Lauren, Megan, Hannah, Jonathan, Matthew, Jase, Reagan, Rachel, and Kelsey; and three great grandchildren. Other survivors include four sisters, Violet Dilts of South Bend, Indiana, Essie Mae Wilder of Owingsville, Minnie Brooks of Jeffersonville, and Marilyn Thompson of Owingsville; extended family and friends. Paul was a retired union carpenter and member of Local 1650. He attended New Cut Pentecostal Holiness Church and enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting in his younger years, flower and vegetable gardening. A devoted family man, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Monday, February 6, 2017, at New Cut Pentecostal Holiness Church with Chad Curran and Joshua Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery on Henderson Road. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
