Paul Douglas Alfrey, age 55, of Pretty Ridge Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016. Born December 3, 1960, in Orlando, Florida, Doug is a son of Willard and Shirley Patrick Alfrey of Morehead. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Kristen Petschonek and Jenna Alfrey Robles, both of Gilroy, California; grandson, Tristen Robles; granddaughter, Suvannah Petschonek; brothers, Donald Eugene Alfrey of Morehead and Dwayne Franklin Alfrey of Clearfield; one niece; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Upon graduation from high school in Freeport, Texas, Doug enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country from 1978 1985. Prior to returning to Morehead, he was employed by missile factories and automotive factories in California. Doug enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and making fishing lures. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to any veteran's organization or a charity of the donor's choice.
