Obituary

Patricia Darlene Withrow Bowling, age 78, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born May 1, 1943, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Reba Sparkman Withrow.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant daughter; one grandson, Anthony Jones; one granddaughter, Angel Johnson; one brother, Jackie Withrow; and three sisters, Wanda Cox and husband Owen, Shirley Smith and husband Lester, and Detta Mae Thornsberry and husband Virgil.

Her husband of 57 years, Jimmy Elwood Bowling, whom she married September 16, 1959, also preceded her in death on June 17, 2017.

Patricia is survived by two sons, David Bowling and wife Judy and J. R. Bowling, all of Morehead; seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Kayla) Bowling, Alex (Dakota) Bowling, Eric (Kayla) Bowling, David (Brittany) Bowling, Patricia (Will) Womack, Veronica (Rob) Conley, and Kandis (Nick) Rayburn; and 14 great grandchildren, including two special great granddaughters, Rylee and Jayla Bowling.

Other survivors include two brothers, Earnest Withrow (Ruth) of Indiana, and Donald Withrow (Millie) of Olive Hill; two sisters, Jean Bailey (Ray) and Janet Glover (Garry) all of Morehead; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Patricia was a former employee of Cowden's Manufacturing Company and Guardian Automotive.  She was a member of Salt Lick Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, shopping with her sisters, caring for her flowers, but most of all she enjoyed spending time and loving her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Andy Lands and Pastor Roy Lands officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bowling Cemetery.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

Covid-19 mandates will be observed.
