Patricia Ann Wagoner Wright, age 59, of Morehead, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. She was born September 4, 1954, in West Liberty, a daughter of the late Luther and Alice Buckner Wagoner. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jason Clay Wright; one brother, Addie Wagoner; and one sister, Ethel Pruitt. Patty is survived by her husband, Wallace Eugene Wright; two sons, Cecil J. McCarty and Mikki of Milton, Florida, and Kevin McCarty and Tasha of Morehead; two daughters, Jessica Buchanan and Frank of Pikeville, and Allison Williams and Monty of Shelbyville; 13 grandchildren; and a first great grandchild due in a few months. Other survivors include four brothers, Bill Wagoner of Hillsboro, Wayne Wagoner of Morehead, Ken Wagoner of Louisville, and Robert Wagoner of Morehead; one sister, Pauline Skaggs of Hillsboro; nieces and nephews; extended family members; and friends. Patty was a former Morehead State University catering employee, a former caregiver, and most recently enjoyed working in a public school library in Milton, Florida. A friendly, outgoing person, Patty had lots of friends as she enjoyed all kinds of people and could strike up a conversation with ease. A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Patty's family was of the greatest importance to her. Although she enjoyed homemaking, quilting and cooking, her greatest pleasure came from spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. Patty will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered as a beloved wife, mom, sister, and mamaw. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Bill Wagoner officiating. Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers: Caleb Wright, Dillon Wright, Matthew Bragg, Kody Crouch, Brent McCarty, and Wendell McCarty. Honorary pallbearers: Tyler Bays and Jesse Bays.
