Patricia Ann "Trish" Lyon Lewis, age 50, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 2, 1966, in Washington Court House, Ohio, Trish is the daughter of Jimmy and Janet Dingus Lyon of Salyersville. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 21 years, James W. "Woody" Lewis, whom she married February 17, 1996; two children, Emma Lewis and Jared Lewis, both of Morehead; two brothers, Abe Lyon (Becky) of Salyersville and David Lyon (Lisa) of Marietta, Georgia; one sister, Cindy Stamper (Chris) of Grayson; seven nieces and nephews, James, Cameron, and Abby Lyon, Molly, Elijah, Ethan, and Lydia Lewis; and many friends. She was a 1985 graduate of Magoffin County High School and received her master's degree from the University of Kentucky. Trish was the former director of Gateway Children's Advocacy Center for 13 years and Rowan County Social Services for 12 years. Trish was a member of the Hope Enterprise Baptist Church in Sandy Hook and enjoyed helping others, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially her children. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Reggie Dickerson, Pastor Ronnie Mayse, and Pastor Rick Pelfrey officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers: Abe Lyon, David Lyon, James Lyon, Cameron Lyon, Ethan Lewis, and Chris Stamper.
