Patricia Ann Pettit Mynhier, age 67, of Mynhier Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born May 10, 1941, in Preble County, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late David Hopkins -Hoppy- Pettit and Bearl Haney Pettit. She moved back to Kentucky as a young child and lived at Bangor, Kentucky. She loved taking care of her siblings there. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Patty is survived by her husband, Emory -Paul- Mynhier, whom she married April 10, 1966, and one daughter, Twila Mynhier Brooks, an attorney in Lexington, and husband Eric, curator of Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate, in Lexington. Other survivors include one sister, Judith Terry of Morehead, Kentucky, and five brothers, Wayne, Paul, Gene, and Gary Pettit, all of Morehead, Kentucky, and David Pettit, Jr., of Clearfield, Kentucky. In addition, she had beloved pets Isabella and Whitey, grand pets Smokey, Horus, Henry and Buttons. She loved to quilt and made her -son- Eric a quilt each Christmas. He sleeps with her quilts every night. She loved to visit Lexington see her -children- and cats. She went to live in Morehead in her 20s and worked for the Fraleys. Patty was a former food service employee at the Dairy Queen and Morehead State University Adron Doran University Center. She met her husband while working at M.S.U. She was of the Church of God Faith. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Brooks, Ken Brooks, Tony Pettit, Chris Terry, Gary Pettit, Jr., and Donnie Pettit.
