Patricia Lynn -Patty- McBrayer, age 51, of Grant, Florida, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Born August 9, 1960, in Centralia, Illinois, Patty is the daughter of Tilman (Tim) McBrayer of Enola, Pennsylvania, and Karon Bauer McBrayer of Morehead, Kentucky. Patty is also survived by her stepmother, Eleanor McBrayer of Enola, Pennsylvania; one brother, John Mark McBrayer of Morehead, Kentucky; two nephews, Robert Collins of College Station, Texas, and Mark Anthony McBrayer of Lexington, Kentucky; two nieces, Jessica Sholars and Rebecca Charles, both of Morehead, Kentucky; as well as two great nephews and one great niece also of Morehead, other relatives, and many friends. Patty was preceded in death by two sisters, Teresa Kim McBrayer and Sharon Charles; paternal grandparents, Bert and Alta McBrayer; maternal grandparents, Edmond and Paula Bauer; and step grandmother, Mary McBrayer. Patty, a devoted surgical nurse for 30 years, worked in hospitals in Lexington, Kentucky, and Vero Beach, Florida. She enjoyed working with stained glass and was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the McBrayer Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky.
