Patricia Young Ballard, 88, of Winchester, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Fountain Circle in Winchester. Born July 28, 1930, at Farmers in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Zachary Taylor Young and Vivian Lola Evans Young Lewis. Besides her parents, Pat was preceded in death by one child, Carolyn Jane Ballard, and one brother, Zane T. Young. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Patricia Ann Young of Versailles, and two nieces, Viki Lynn Young of Lexington and Kimberly Ann Young and husband Raymond Easton of Midway. Pat was a fantastic bridge player and enjoyed her many friends in various bridge clubs. As she could grow anything, Pat will be remembered for her "green thumb" and especially her beautiful orchids and the achimenes shared with so many. Private graveside services and interment will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Carey Cemetery in Morehead with Richard Evans presiding. At her request, there is no visitation.
