Ottie Masters Evans, age 87, of Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at the Life Care Center of Morehead. She was born April 15, 1921, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Elsworth and Hannah Zornes Masters. Her husband, Elmer Thomas -Pete- Evans, preceded her in death on February 14, 1984. Ottie is survived by several cousins as well as special friends, J. C. and Marcy Jolley of Clearfield, Kentucky. Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and former nursing home employee in Tiffin, Ohio. She enjoyed reading and was a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gary McQuain, Rev. Max Molihan and Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery, Cherry Fork, Ohio. Pallbearers will be Jim Moore, Pete Hamm, Ted Trent, Paul Rhodes, Mark Rhodes, and Randy Day.
