Oscar Ernest McGlothin, age 57, of Roxanne Street, Clearfield, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Ernie was born January 29, 1957, in Rowan County, a son of the late Oscar Davis McGlothin and Emma Deal Parson McGlothin. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Adkins, and one brother, Alfred Edward McGlothin. Ernie is survived by four sisters, Bessie Pernell of Frenchburg, Lizzie Jessie McGlothin and Beulah Faye McGlothin Switzer, both of Morehead, and Nora Ann Parsons of Union City, Indiana; one brother; Jimmy Lynn McGlothin of Lexington; and three nephews, Herman David Adkins, Chris Parsons, and Derick McGlothin. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Lee Cemetery with the Rev. Molly Smothers officiating. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
