Obituary

Opal Nichols Reynolds Williams, age 85, of Reynolds Lane, Olive Hill, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015, at her residence. Born January 17, 1930, in Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Jossie Mabry Nichols. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thirl Nichols and Harlis Nichols, and five sisters, Firl Holbrook, Virgie Nichols, Detta Davis, Sally Gearhart, and Marie Sparks. Opal was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jettie A. Reynolds on November 9, 1978; her second husband, Delbert Williams on June 18, 2011; and one daughter, Sandra K. Reynolds. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Paula Reynolds of Owingsville and Phillip and Debbie Reynolds of Olive Hill; four daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Phillip Tabor of Mt. Sterling, Tammy and Zoltan Ori of Morehead, and Claire and Phil Moran and Bonnie and Christopher Decker, all of Newark, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Madge Holbrook of Olive Hill and Molly Brown of Hoxie, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and member of the Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Roger Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Reynolds Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers: Joe Reynolds, Lee Reynolds, Chris Decker, Matt Brewer, Reece Brewer, Todd Byrd, Jared Decker, and Nolen Tabor. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Thursday, September 24, 2015, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Friday, September 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. Interment: Reynolds Cemetery
