Obituary

Opal Stafford Flannery, age 95, of Morehead, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at her residence. Born December 13, 1919, in Elliot County, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Julie Conn Stafford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Fuoss and Evelyn Brown, and one brother, Jesse (Junior) Stafford. Her husband, Ora Flannery, passed away November 28, 1989. Mrs. Flannery is survived by several nieces and nephews. Opal retired from Cowden Manufacturing Company after 30 years of service and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Brad Bennington officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Jerry Hogan, Zach Hogan, Alex Hogan, Jeremiah Fuoss, Brian Fuoss, and Joe Baxter. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Thursday, March 12, 2015, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Friday, March 13, 2015, at 11 a.m. Interment: Elliott County Memory Gardens, Sandy Hook, KY
