Obituary

Opal Knipp Clark Patrick, age 86, of Tygart Street, Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at the Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born November 4, 1920, at Lawton, Kentucky, in Carter County, and was the daughter of the late G. W. -Buddy- Knipp and Florence Markwell Knipp. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Clark, on May 20, 1978; her second husband, Rev. Russell Patrick on December 29, 1997; one son, James Earl Clark, four brothers, Allen Knipp, Arthur Knipp, George Knipp, and Cecil Knipp; and four sisters, Sarah Caudill, Ada Black, Gladys Estes, and Tina Markwell. She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Donald (Shirley) Clark of Marion, Indiana, Bobby (Sally) Clark of Marion, Indiana, Gary (Nell) Clark of Shirley, Indiana, Charles (Carolyn) Clark of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Darrell (Gail) Clark of Lovely, Kentucky; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie (Rudy) Cuellar of Orestes, Indiana; and one daughter-in-law, Fern Clark of Dayton, Ohio. Other survivors include two sisters, Glessie Pick of Columbus, Ohio, Mary Alice Roseberry of Cincinnati, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; special caregivers, Toddy Caudill and Teresa Sagraves; and a host of dear nieces and nephews. Mrs. Patrick was a homemaker, a former Morehead State University employee, and a member of the Church of God. She was a devoted Christian, loving mother and grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Gayle Price, Brother Eddie Boggs, and Brother Rex Sagraves officiating. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery at Soldier, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Grandsons James Allen Clark, Jonathan Darrell Clark, David Black, Jason Kruth, and Justin Black and Nephew Larry Knipp. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Thursday, March 8, 2007, after 4 p.m. Funeral: Friday, March 9, 2007, at 2 p.m. Interment: Clark Cemetery at Soldier, KY
