Ollie Sloan Sparks, age 92, of State Hwy. 504, Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born December 28, 1920, in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Woodrow and Susie Fraley Sloan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lee Sparks, who passed away August 31, 2003, and a daughter, Judy Ellen Sparks Kidd, on June 28, 2006. Mrs. Sparks is survived by one daughter, Beulah Faye Caudill and husband Frosty of Olive Hill, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Joanne Kidd Blair, Rick Kidd, Wendy Caudill Stinson, and Erik Caudill; and eight great grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Tommy Sloan and Oscar Sloan, both of Morehead, Kentucky; other family members; and friends. Mrs. Sparks was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She attended Beartown Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Victor Mabry officiating. Burial will follow in the Sloan Cemetery in Carter County. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
