Olive DeHart, 92, of the CCC Trail, Morehead, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation in Owingsville. She was born on April 8, 1925, in Rowan County to the late Jesse J. and Lula Lewis Caudill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Cletis Edward DeHart, who passed away on July 22, 2004; son Donald Gene DeHart, who passed away on September 1, 2012; along with brothers Allie, Oscar, Otis, and Wayne Caudill; and sisters Gladys Lambert, Jewell Lambert, and Beulah (Bea) Costa. Survivors include two daughters, Norma Sue Brown of Morehead, Carol DeHart (Carl) of Tipp City, Ohio, and one son, Gary DeHart (Jan) of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Terri Speaks (Jack) of Apopka, FL, Melissa Farrell (Allen) of Morehead, Shawn DeHart (Anne Marie) of Grant, AL, Heath DeHart (Angela) of Fayetteville, TN, Steven DeHart (Amanda) of Holly, MI, Jennifer Powell (Kevin) Germantown, OH, Katy DeHart of Washington, DC; eight great-grandchildren, Noah and Ethan DeHart of Grant, AL, Anderson and Cohen DeHart of Fayetteville, TN, Andrew, Ashton, and Avalyn DeHart of Holly, MI, Courtney and Emily Powell of Germantown, OH, two brothers-in-law, Arlie DeHart and Joe Costa; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Olive was a homemaker, lifelong Christian, and an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Tim Hamilton and Brother Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Crix Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are James L. Brown, Sr., Carl DeHart, and Allen Farrell.
