Olen Newman Vise, age 94, of Hillsboro, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the home of his daughter. Born February 21, 1923, in Fleming County, he was the son of the late Shelton and Ettis Newman Vise. Olen was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Treda Parish Vise, on February 9, 2014. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Riley Hendrix Vise, Johnny Russell Vise, and Albert Morton Vise. Olen is survived by one son, Tim O. Vise and wife Carolyn; one daughter, Janie Pease and husband David; and one very special granddaughter, Sarah Jane Pease, all of Hillsboro; one brother, William Kenneth Vise of Hillsboro; three sisters, Nellie Rosaline Filson of Washington, KY, Opal Marie Yarber of Batesville, IN, and Patty Ruth Eldridge of Morehead. A lifelong farmer and outdoorsman, Olen also enjoyed his cattle and horses, walking and whittling. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Hutton Funeral Home with the Rev. Gaylord Gillispie and Pastor Jared DeAtley officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers: Tim Vise, David Pease, Jack Vise, Sean Johnson, Bill Thompson, Sherman Royse.
