Oleda Mille Jones Fraley, age 91, of East Wellsview, Connersville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Pataskala Oaks Care Center in Pataskala, Ohio. She was born January 29, 1925, in Rowan County, Kentucky, to the late Bennie Oliver and Hettie Pearl Richardson Jones. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Udell Jones Mays and Vivian Jones Riley. Her husband of 36 years, the Rev. Carl Vernon Fraley, preceded her in death on July 19, 1984. Survivors include one son, Phillip Fraley of Granville, Ohio; two daughters and spouses, Hettie and Neal Wagner and Carla and Gary Redelman, both of Connersville, Indiana; grandchildren and spouses, Oleda Renee Fraley of Granville, Ohio, Vonda 'Snookie' and Jeffrey Dalrymple, Kyle and Megan Redelman and Ryan Redelman, all originally from Connersville; and four great-grandchildren, Hettie Lillian Dalrymple and Jay Dalrymple III, Ava Redelman and Eli Redelman; one uncle, Charlie L. Jones of Clearfield, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fraley was a homemaker and a helpmate to her husband throughout his ministry. Before her marriage, she was a former teacher at Dry Creek School in Rowan County, Kentucky, and after moving to Indiana a substitute teacher at Eastview and Orange elementary schools. She was always a staunch supporter of the annual family reunion in Kentucky and delighted in discussing the history of her ancestors. After the death of her husband and successfully raising three children, Mrs. Fraley at age 60 started going to camp meetings and church conventions, attending at least three each year. Until she was 77, she drove her own RV to the camp sites. She especially enjoyed gardening and harvesting vegetables in spring, summer, and fall. Mrs. Fraley has been a member of Park Place Church of God, Connersville, Indiana, since 1966, where she also served as Sunday School Superintendent. A devout Christian, often when asked her age, Mrs. Fraley would give the number of years she had been a Christian. Her 75 years as a Christian were more important to her than her chronological age of 91. Visitation will be in Connersville, Indiana, on Friday, July 29, 2016, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Park Place Church of God. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 7 p.m. Friday at the church. Visitation will be in Morehead, Kentucky, on Saturday, July 30, 2016, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Morehead. As Mrs. Fraley would say (or witness), 'Oleda Mille Jones Fraley passed away at the age of 75.'
