Obituary for Janice Sampley Sherman

Janice Sampley Sherman, age 56, of Caudill Street, Morehead, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017, at her residence.

Born July 6, 1961, in Montgomery, Alabama, she is the daughter of Dr. Marilyn Thomas Sampley of Morehead and Carl Ray Sampley, who passed away May 12, 2010.

In addition to her mother, Janice is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (David) Ginter of Carthage, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Shelby (D.J.) Logan and Cameron Ginter; one sister, Sandra Dunbar of Waco, Texas; one niece, Christine Robinette; and one nephew, Bryan Dunbar.

Janice was a certified nursing assistant and had worked in hospitals and nursing homes in Arizona and Texas. She enjoyed photography, traveling, and all types of animals. She attended Morehead First Church God.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bill Konstantopoulos officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Family and close friends will serve as pallbearers.

At her request, there will be no visitation.
