Norma Jean Skeens Lambert, 85, of Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.

Born May 23, 1935, in Killarney, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Lula Akers Skeens.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Virgil Skeens, Elmer Lee Skeens, Billy Junior Skeens and his wife Betty, and a sister, Carol June Skeens.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, J. M. Lambert of Clearfield, Kentucky; her step son, James A. Horton of Hillsboro, Kentucky; a brother, Frank Skeens of Clearfield, Kentucky; a nephew, Mike Skeens and wife Debbie of Beckley, West Virginia; two great-nephews, Chris Skeens and wife Angie of Basin, West Virginia, and Chad Skeens and wife Amy of Pax, West Virginia; three great-great nephews, two great-great nieces, and one great-great-great niece.

Norma worked as a beautician in Bluefield, West Virginia, until she met and married J. M. Lambert on November 27, 1967, in Pearisburg, Virginia.  She was a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God.

Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Cecil Ison officiating.  At her request, there is no visitation.
