Noel Ladd Drennan, age 95, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010, at the home of her daughter in Globe, Kentucky. Noel was born February 23, 1915, at Princeton, Kentucky, in Caldwell County, daughter of the late Wylie Logan Ladd and Elgie Thomas Ladd. Her husband, James Clay Drennan, preceded her in death November 2, 1998. Mrs. Drennan is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Downing of Globe, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Bonnie Clark and husband Louie -Corky- and Becky Maggard and husband Robbie, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two great grandchildren, Dalton Clark and Brett Maggard; and two great-great grandchildren, Austin Maggard and Sawyer Maggard. Noel graduated from Friendship High School in Caldwell County and received her teaching certificate from Murray State University. She was a teacher in rural schools in Caldwell and Lyon counties, a former social worker, and a member of Jehovah-s Witnesses. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Joe Gay officiating. Burial will follow in the Downing-Kiser Cemetery at Globe, Kentucky. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
