Nelliree Mabry Oney, age 91, of Oney Hollow, Morehead, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021, at her residence.

She was born August 26, 1929, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late James Calvin Mabry and Myrtle Cox Mabry.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Geneva Messer; two brothers, Willis and Ray Mabry; and two great granddaughters.

Nelliree's devoted husband of 67 years, Earl E. Oney, whom she wed June 16, 1948, went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2015.  Mrs. Oney is survived by their three children:  one son, Don and Jenny Oney of Morehead and two daughters, Linda and Dale Hinton of Middleburg, Florida, and Patty Hough of Morehead.

Also five grandchildren:  Ron and Shannon Hinton of Middleburg, Florida; Robert and Tracy Hinton of Orange Park, Florida; Brian and Jennifer Hinton of Middleburg, Florida; Whitney Oney of Morehead; and Patrick Oney of Morehead; six great grandchildren:  Brittney Hinton of Green Cove Springs, Florida; Caitlin Hinton and Wyatt Hinton of Orange Park, Florida; Colton Hinton and Brantley Hinton of Middleburg, Florida; and Bentleigh Oney of Morehead; three step great grandchildren: Davon Chaing, Payton and Reece Pollitt of Middleburg, Florida.

Other survivors include one sister, Carol and Eddie White of Morehead, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Nelliree was a homemaker whose family was always her main priority.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.  She attended the East End Church of God.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Andy Lands officiating.  Burial will follow in Oney Cemetery.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.  Her granddaughter and great grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
