Nathan Paul Jaynes, age 38, of Elliott County, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his residence.

He was born July 26, 1984, in Morehead, and is the son of Carla Robin Winkleman of Elliott County and Charles Larry Jaynes, Jr. of Grayson.

Nathan is survived by two daughters, Trista Jaynes and Emily Jaynes, both of Beattyville; his mother, Carla Robin Winkleman of Elliott County; his father, Charles Larry Jaynes, Jr. (Mary Harlow) of Grayson; three brothers, Justin Jaynes (Chelsa) of Rush, Randy Winkleman (Mikayla) of Morehead, and Cody Lewis of Elliott County; one sister, Ashley Jaynes of Anchorage, Alaska; paternal grandmother, Paula Jaynes of Olive Hill; his companion, Shereia Fields of Louisa; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ray Winkleman, Harold Sloan, and Sarah Alice Sloan, and paternal grandfather, Charles Jaynes.

Nathan worked from home as a customer service technician, and he enjoyed watching television and movies and especially loved watching professional wrestling and UK basketball. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brad Winkleman officiating.  Burial will follow in Gearhart Cemetery on Frazier Road off Tick Ridge.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
