Naomi Faris Knox Jett, age 77, of Mynhier Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014, at her residence. Born September 23, 1936, in Bath County, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Nora Ellen Sapp Knox. In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Hargis Jett, who passed away March 21, 1999. She is survived by one daughter, Julie Faris Jett Davis and husband Phillip of Morehead; one son, Lonny Darrell Jett of Morehead; two grandchildren, Austin Hargis Davis and Dakota Faris Davis and wife Laura; and two special great grandchildren, Trinity Cheyenne Faris Davis and Gabriel Mason Dakota Davis. She also leaves behind her special cat, Jinx. Naomi graduated from Owingsville High School. She was an employee of F. E. Means and Company and Mama Skaggs Daycare before owning and operating Countryside Preschool for 39 years. She was lovingly known as 'Miss Naomi' by the thousands of children she helped raise in her preschool. Graveside services will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday at Brown Cemetery with Brother Don Rivers officiating.
