Obituary

Naomi Louise Davis, age 74, of Hickory Road, West Liberty, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, at her home. She was born June 11, 1940, in Elliott County, a daughter of the late Randolph and Gladys Horton Pennington. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Kay Pennington. Naomi is survived by her husband, Rev. Harold D. Davis; six children and their spouses: Travis Dale and Debbie Darby-Davis of Xenia, Ohio; Connie Lynn and Delbert Alexander of Lexington; Willie Bruce and Donna Blair-Davis of West Liberty; Hershell Gregory and Carol Jean Davis of Louisville; Steve Raymon and Sheila Davis of Pace, Florida; Paul Edward and Angie Davis of Fairborn, Ohio; 19 grandchildren: Julie, Sarah, Joshua L., Joshua C., Brittany, Kayleigh, Matt, Kyle, Chelsea, Kaitlyn, Zach, Dakota, Ethan, Kelli, Dylan, Breanna, Wyatt, Evan, and Wade ; and 7 great grandchildren: Grace, Tristan, Hunter, Darby, Raelyn, Weston, and Elijah. Other survivors include nine sisters and two brothers: Janice and Darryl Dennis of Sandy Hook, Mary Conn of Isonville, Charles and Jeannie Pennington of Sandy Hook, Linda Pennington of Morehead, Elaine and Darrell Fannin of Sandy Hook, Diane and Phil Hardin of Sandy Hook, Randy and Teresa Pennington of Morehead, Claudette and Terry Green of Lexington, Theresa and John Wolfenbarger of Morehead, Dreama Crum of Sandy Hook, Fonda and Ronald Weddington of Sandy Hook; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Naomi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose greatest joy was taking care of her family. A Godly woman, Naomi and her husband Harold were founders of the Assembly of Faith Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the Assembly of Faith Church with Rev. Eugene Haney, Rev. Joseph Rogers, and Rev. Berlyn Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Family Cemetery located behind the church. Pallbearers: Joshua Alexander, Josh Davis, Kyle Davis, Zach Davis, Dakota Davis, Ethan Davis, Wyatt Davis, and Matt Darby. Honorary pallbearers: Evan Davis and Wade Davis Visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2015, and any time before the service on Tuesday at the Assembly of Faith Church, 5578 Hwy. 519, West Liberty, KY 41472. Visitation: Monday, February 2, 2015, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 1p.m. Interment: Trinity Family Cemetery
