Obituary

Nancye Mertie Goldy Hall, age 68, of East Fork Road, Owingsville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born March 2, 1943, in Bath County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Bill and Leona Woodard Goldy. Nancye is survived by her husband, Asa Hall, whom she wed August 21, 1965; two children, Amy Suzanne Hall and Mark Edward Hall, both of Owingsville, Kentucky; and one sister, Brenda Jane Goldy of Lexington, Kentucky. She, also, is survived by one aunt, Virginia Carter of Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Hall was a teacher for 36 years. For the first part of her career, she taught high school English, Latin, and Journalism at New Miami High School near Hamilton, Ohio. She was very interested in literature, and she was an accomplished writer. She later taught second grade in the West Clermont School District near Cincinnati, Ohio. A longtime member of the Baptist Church, Mrs. Hall most recently attended the Flemingsburg Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Dr. Christopher Beckham and Rev. Billy Harmon officiating. Interment will follow at Longview Cemetery in Bethel, Kentucky. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Sunday, May 29, 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Monday, May 30, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: Longview Cemetery, Bethel, Kentucky
