Obituary

Nancy Marie Smith Waddell, age 66, of Patties Lick, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday evening, September 13, 2012, at her daughter-s home after an extended illness. She was born September 3, 1946, in Perry County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William Radar and Arizona Everage Smith. She was also preceded by her husband, Marion Otis 'Junior' Waddell, who passed away August 9, 2001; two sisters, Ernestine Noble and Sharon Rivers; one brother, Dexter Smith; and one great granddaughter, Carman Alexis Jent Vanwinkle. She is survived by three children, Roger 'Buck' Waddell and Lorie, of Morehead, Kentucky, Melissa Jent and Curtis Wayne of Morehead, Kentucky, and Sandra 'Neak' White and Jimmy of Menifee County, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Heather (Cody) Moss, Wesley Whitt, Bradley Sparks, Brooklyn Waddell, Boston Waddell; two step grandchildren, Brent Stinson and Brittany Stinson; and one great grandson, Daniel Wayne Moss. Other survivors include two brothers, Freddy Smith and Alice and Lester Smith and Shirley, all of Morehead, Kentucky; four sisters, Carol Neace and Jim and Sandy Campbell and David, all of Hazard, Kentucky, Ivory Waddell and Roger and Billie Dailey and Carson, all of Morehead, Kentucky, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Waddell was a homemaker and enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with family. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Minor Feltner officiating. Burial will follow in Crix Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Roger 'Buck' Waddell, Jimmy Neace, Wesley Whitt, Wayne Dailey, and Cody Moss. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Saturday, September 15, 2012, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, September 16, 2012, at 2 p.m. Interment: Crix Cemetery
